Choose Your Region: Deploy N8N VPS Closer to Your Users
Learn how N8Nme's region selection feature lets you deploy your N8N instance on a VPS in the optimal location for your needs, reducing latency and improving performance.
Why Region Selection Matters
When it comes to workflow automation, performance matters. Every millisecond counts when your workflows are processing webhooks, making API calls, or orchestrating complex business logic. That's why we're excited to announce one of N8Nme's most requested features: regional VPS deployment.
Imagine you're running a business in Australia, but your N8N instance is hosted in Europe. Every API call, every webhook trigger, every workflow execution has to travel halfway around the world. That's adding hundreds of milliseconds of latency to every operation.
With N8Nme's region selection feature, you can now deploy your N8N instance on a VPS in the geographic location that makes the most sense for your use case. Whether you need to be close to your users, your data sources, or comply with data residency requirements, we've got you covered.
Available Regions
We've partnered with a world-class hosting provider to offer VPS deployments in seven strategic locations worldwide:
- Europe (Germany) - Perfect for EU-based businesses with GDPR requirements
- United States (Central) - Ideal for North American operations
- United States (East) - Low latency for East Coast users
- United States (West) - Optimized for West Coast and Pacific operations
- Asia (Singapore) - Best choice for Southeast Asian deployments
- United Kingdom - Great for UK-based businesses
- Australia (Sydney) - First-class performance for Australian users
Each region offers the same powerful hardware and reliable infrastructure, so you can choose based purely on geographic preference.
How It Works
During Checkout
When you upgrade from our free tier to any paid plan (Starter, Seasoned, or Expert), you'll be presented with an interactive region selector. Simply click on your preferred region, and we'll provision your VPS in that location.
The interface displays each region with clear labeling, showing both the region name and country. You can see your selection highlighted in real-time, making it easy to confirm your choice before completing checkout.
In Team Settings
Already have a paid plan? You can update your region preference anytime from your team settings. While this won't migrate your existing instance (that would cause downtime), it sets your preference for any future provisioning operations.
To access this feature:
- Navigate to Team Settings from your dashboard
- Scroll to the VPS Region Preference section
- Select your preferred region from the dropdown
- Click Save
Note: This feature is only available to team administrators on paid plans, ensuring that only authorized users can make infrastructure decisions.
Real-World Impact
Let's look at a real example. One of our beta testers runs an e-commerce automation business in Singapore. Initially, they were using the free instance (which runs in Europe). After upgrading to a Starter plan and selecting the Singapore region, they saw:
- 68% reduction in webhook response times
- 45% faster API calls to regional services
- Improved reliability due to reduced network hops
These improvements directly translated to faster order processing, better customer experience, and more reliable automation.
Compliance and Data Residency
For many businesses, especially those in regulated industries, data residency isn't just about performance, it's about compliance. Financial institutions, healthcare providers, and enterprises often have strict requirements about where their data can be physically stored.
By choosing a region in the EU, for example, you can ensure your N8N instance complies with GDPR's data residency requirements. Similarly, Australian businesses can keep their data within Australian borders to meet local privacy laws.
